Interview: Lucas Moitinho e Silva – Microbial Diversity and Function

In this latest addition to our host-microbe interview series with international junior researchers CRC1182-speaker Thomas Bosch talks to Dr. Lucas Moitinho e Silva. He’s a recent alumnus of our center who worked at Kiel University’s Institute of Clinical Molecular in the Genetics and Bioinformatic group. Lucas will soon be joining a commercial company to persue a career as a research scientist. Besides Lucas’ scientific achievements, the interview focuses on the decision making on pivotal points in a scientific career and more specifically the reasoning whether to stay in academia or join the private sector.
